We are trying to do all we can to raise money for Children In Need. We personally raise money for CHAS each year as that is our Clinic's chosen charity but we feel that we can't ignore this worthwhile cause. So ,to raise much needed funds, we are for the 1st time in our history giving away FREE CONSULTATIONS on Friday 20th November (Children in Need day).
These consultations will be with an experienced osteopath who will listen to your medical history, examine you and treat you if appropriate. They will also give advice on posture, exercise and lifestyle advice in order to help prevent/rehabilitate your aches/pains.
These are usually £45 and all we ask in return is that you make a donation, 100% of which will be for the Children In Need appeal.
So if you haven't got time to do some fundraising, why not make a donation AND get healthier at the same time!! This offer is for ALL THE FAMILY as osteopathy helps babies to grannies.
We have VERY LIMITED SPACES available as each consultation is 30 minutes long and we are filling up fast.

| 12.10.09 Heavy Handbags could mean you're carrying PAIN! |
|---|
Big Bag Police Chief David out on the beat! Leading local osteopath David was out on streets of Falkirk today weighing handbags, manbags and rucksacks to raise awareness of the health risks of carrying heavy bags. · Carrying bags can seriously damage our health and postural integrity – leading to problems with our spine, lower back, pelvis and feet · A heavy load on one shoulder accentuates your spinal curve and leads the opposite shoulder to compensate in order to redress the balance · Women, in particular, can be guilty of carrying bags as heavy as 5lbs (five bags of sugar) – ideally you shouldn’t carry more than 2lbs One offender was a mum carrying a change bag with all her usual handbag contents weighing in at 5kg!. Worst culprit was the photographer for the Falkirk Herald carrying his 9.8KG rucksack on ONE SHOULDER!!! |

Your local Osteopath has submitted himself for much chastisement and ridicule by performing in the upcoming "UNTOUCHED", which is a Falkirk Operatic Society production. This is a show of many musical favourites and is held at the Falkirk Town Hall in Friday 25 and Sat 26 September 2009. Tickets are £8 each and tables are set out cabaret-style with seating for 8 at each. You are invited to come along and enjoy an excellent night with the occasional input from David the Osteopath!!! |
